If our assignment is to
represent a client seeking an acquisition we first work with
the client to gain an understanding of their requirements and
develop an action plan for our clients approval.
The searches generally fall into one of several categories:
a search for an individual company
for an owner/operator or investor, a search for a platform or add-on
company, a search for a company that will
provide synergy, or
a search for a strategic add-on or
partner.
Once
all the client criteria and objects have been specified, we
select and screen candidates, and present them to the client.
Based on client review we select from one to three top
candidates and work with the client to analyze and value these
candidates. We repeat this process until the top one or two
candidates have been identified.
We
then propose and analyze alternative acquisition structures.
Finally, we will assist with and mediate in the final phases
to complete the transaction.
